The End of the Dream and the Birth of Hope

May 17, 2005

The goal was 25 computer centers and 100 schools being fed. It’s getting late in the game, but we had one more big chance. Some friends invited us to share after their church service at their large church in MN. I had this hope that the right people would hear the message, and we would hit the goals.

And then the pastor, who had been at the church for 17 years, announced he was resigning from the pulpit to go on the mission field. He was going to have a meeting right after the service; the same time as our meeting. I leaned over to our host and said `I want to go to his meeting too!’

So did everyone else. We had a few people show up, but I realized that there would be no way that this church would close the gap. And the most wonderful thing happened to me: I felt covered in His peace like I have never felt before. It was a wonderful weekend of fellowship with dear friends that was refreshing and inspiring.

My dream ended, but He birthed a hope in me. I don’t have a clue how big this thing should get or will get, but my hope is in Him.

We’ve attached our most recent snail mail because we don’t have snail for everyone.

We also wanted to let you know that we are going to be at Colleyville Christian Fellowship this Sunday, May 22nd from 2-4 pm. We will give a short update on our work and show a video from 2-2:30.  The rest of the time is just for fellowship. Please stop by and say hi if you are in the area. The address is 3508 Glade Rd. Colleyville, TX. 76053.  (817-354-5757)

God bless you all.

Love
